Old Shenfield Place Walks Together for Alzheimer’s Society
Residents from Old Shenfield Place Care Home headed out into Brentwood for a Memory Walk in support of Alzheimer’s Society, joined by family, friends and members of the local community.
The walk raised £40 for the charity and gave residents a chance to get out into the local area for the morning, where they received a very warm welcome.
Jasmine Bleu flower shop had a lovely surprise waiting for the group, where residents were each presented with a beautiful rose, which went down very well!
From there, it was on to Roses Bakery for a well-earned cup of tea and some delicious cake. Residents were able to sit down and catch up with family and old friends who had also joined them, as well as chat with others they met during the morning.
Brentwood Mayor Nicky Cuthbert also joined the walk and spent time with residents, and having her there to support the event meant a great deal to everyone at Old Shenfield Place.
There was a lot of support from Brentwood as the group made its way around the local area.
Some people stopped for a chat, learning more about the event and the care home. They also donated to Alzheimer’s Society and gave residents a few words of encouragement as they passed.

Residents had a brilliant morning out in Brentwood and the team is very proud of what they achieved and grateful to everyone in Brentwood who helped make the day such a lovely one.
