On 18th September, Old Shenfield Place Care Home came alive with community spirit and compassion as residents, families, and friends joined together for a memorable Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer’s Society. The event brought everyone together to raise awareness and show solidarity for those affected by Alzheimer’s.

Participants wearing pale blue attire , symbolising unity and support, as they walked alongside our residents, creating a truly inspiring experience. The walk was followed by a delightful tea and cake , offering the perfect opportunity to relax and share stories while celebrating the difference each step makes.

Cristina, Care Home Manager, said:

“We were overwhelmed by the support from the local community, and my team for joining us on the walk and donating so generously. It truly made the day unforgettable”.

“The Memory Walk was not only a success in raising awareness but also in bringing our community closer together. It reminded us of the importance of compassion, care, and support for those living with Alzheimer’s. Every step counted together, The team raised £70.80 for the Alzheimer’s Society and made a real difference!”
